21. My grandfather called my wife a "Mexican girl" and boycotted our wedding.

Men in his White Wild West family simply didn't marry Mexican girls, especially the darker Native American sort.

To his credit he got over it.

Part of that may have been he was scared of her.

He was a rocket engineer but she could sink all his ships with her math.

Our children nearly always seek out their mom first for protection.

I'm only called in when they need a Berserker.

I'm not proud of that.
