There are countries where their own local anti-vaxxers spread rumors about the MMR and Polio vaccines, vicious enough that groups of public health workers periodically get killed in remote locations of Pakistan and Africa, for instance.

I had a screaming fight over the phone with my daughter last year, in which I repeated at increasing volume: “I will not discuss science with you” to her every cockamamie assertion about the (not yet existent) COVID vax.

She is the mother of my only grandchildren, and I WILL see them again.

As far as I am concerned, one of the greatest benefits of my husband and I getting our #2 vaccine today is that we will soon be able to see relatives comfortably, and eventually even have a social life again, notwithstanding continuing to wear masks in stores and the like.
