In the 1960s, we would have been running off copies of our manifestoes on old mimeograph machines and publishing cheap looking but heartfelt underground newspapers and comic books, as well as tacking up notices on the bulletin boards at supermarkets and laundromats, or in the union building of whatever college we attended, inviting people to for awareness meetings.
The internet and other social media have made it so much easier to spread the word and raise consciousness!
Of course, during the days of the Roman Empire, we would have been painting misspelled or ungramamtical Latin graffiti on stone walls--and having our Latin corrected by stuffy Roman Legionnaires (gratuitous Life of Brian reference).
