Rain!

11. we got rain this morning.

nothing but drizzle yesterday and last night.
i love the sound of the rain on the roof.
i have had trouble keeping trees wet this year too. we have 80+ (bonsai) trees in pots and some of them need watering every day.
it was fine during the summer but since school started again (and the days growing shorter) i have not had the time to play with trees every day.
sorry to hear about your plums. they should be fine by spring but will probably need some pruning to clean the weak and fried branches from the trees.
the forest is another question. i think the western red cedar has had a number of bad years. once the foliage goes brown those trees will not come back.
