43. The problem is HR1 and HR4
Thu Apr 8, 2021, 11:19 PM
Apr 2021

I took last night's op-ed as him putting the nail in the coffin of HR1 and HR4 ever passing. With them, our house majority is secure as far as the eye can see and we are sitting pretty in states worth north of 300+ electoral votes. Without those, the 2020 national house re-districting is a nightmare and Speaker Donald J. Trump becomes a very real possibility. We need to hold the house and senate through the 2024 presidential so that we can vote down the competing slates of electors that Republican Governors will send up to the hill next time against those electors duly elected democratically.

Without HR1 and HR4, President Biden can be the most successful president in U.S. history, as it won't matter as Republicans intend to a)try to throw out our votes in the actual election) b)If that fails, simply appoint Trump electors next time to try to install him as dictator. The slates certified by state governors are considered official if the house and senate deadlock at the joint session certification in 2025. So, we need both chambers to vote down this coup attempt.

Maintaining our congressional majorities is essential. Hence, why, by refusing to allow HR1 and HR4 to pass, Manchin is enabling tyranny.

I stand by everything I wrote. HR1 and HR4 are EVERYTHING unless we somehow get 2 SCOTUS appointments that swing the balance of power. Manchin is the sole reason HR1 and HR4 are in trouble right now. That cannot stand.
