They have no friggin' clue what it is! I saw this post on a cousin's FB page and now have even more serious doubts about her brain functioning....(I don't follow her, but went to see what insanity she's been posting recently) Presented with the underlines and caps as written:

"Facebook is a perfect example of socialism. You get it for free. You have no say in how it works. The guy who runs it is rich. You have no privacy AND if you say one thing they don't like, they shut you up..."

The fact it has been up for over a month negates the last line, btw. And I'd say it is more of a description of capitalism (in the rich guy running it) or fascism (no say, no privacy, they shut you up) than anything that is defined as "a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole."

Back to ignoring the cousin.
