54. The pacemaker quit working last month and he had to have it replaced on an emergency basis.

His heart was beating at less than 20 per minute. It was a scare. He is now 31 years old. Has had the pacemaker from his mid-teens, but the pacing issue was known since he was 4 or 5 years old.
