13. That's how it's done. And if enough people see things like this they'll start doing that, too....

Years ago my mother saw a woman sleeping on a bench in the NYC subway. She went over to her and stuck a few dollars in her hand.

A cop saw that and almost yelled at her, "why are you doing that?". She said, "that woman could be your mother". The cop stopped talking, thought about it, and apologized.

Let's hope he learned something long-term from that.

It doesn't take much.
