7. It will take a long time

to really understand the full impact of the pandemic. Besides the enormous economic losses there's the personal cost that comes from being apart from loved ones and not being able to participate in normal daily routines and activities. Isolation is not good for people. I worry most about my grand-kids, who have lost a full year of sports, social activities, and regular in-school classes.

Spring is coming and we're getting the chance to be vaccinated so I do feel more hopeful and positive now.
