I'm not sure you understand why it matters:

Many emails and photos have been produced that clearly show Hunter and family.

That doesn't mean the device belonged to Hunter Biden, or that the drive in it did.

If I hack into your phone, steal your text messages, photos and other stuff, and if I have a good enough budget, some really good technical people, and a supply of commercial electronic devices which I collect for analysis and other uses over time, then I can put together "WarGamer's Smartphone" containing, yes, GENUINE confidential information of yours, a plausible forged device history, mixed in with FALSE information.

You could not deny that those are, in fact, your nude selfies, but I could also mix in other data and communications which are not real.

False information works best when it contains nuggets of truth.

It's just a possibility, but the backstory on those devices is so outstandingly sketchy.
