who will be waiting for yet another $1,400 payment because of this letter.

I got mine today, and it says

"I am pleased to inform you that because of the American Rescue Plan, a direct payment of $1,400.00 was issued to you by direct deposit. If you haven't received your payment within 7 days of receiving this letter, please check the status of the payment by visiting the IRS website or calling the IRS phone number at the bottom of this letter."

Now, the problem is that this letter is dated April 29, 2021, but is referring to a payment which landed in my account on March 24. Reading the letter, it sounds like another is coming within 7 days, which is inaccurate.

Sorry, Joe, but I trashed your letter.
