And Epstein's 2008 conviction seemed not THAT serious at the time (which is WHY so many people were pissed about that deal from Acosta), all the really nasty shit was hidden til 2018 when it got blown open by the Miami Herald.

Not saying Gates shouldn't have steered clear, but the way this story is being represented is a bit disingenuous.
