...will increase to the point that even the crazy sycophants can't cover for him anymore or ignore.

I realize in this case that decline would have to be pretty extreme. Trump could be talking pure gibberish and drooling on himself, and his followers would claim he is "speaking in tongues", and a whole cottage industry would crop up to explain His Holy Pronouncements.
