My humble opinion. CDC is lifting Mask and social distancing too soon.

50. Totally disagree. The data speaks for itself.

100 million fully vaccinated Americans. Less than 10 thousand breakthrough cases. That a one in 10,000 chance. Less than 150 deaths. That approaching one in a million.

Unless the data changes it would be dishonest to tell fully vaccinated people they need to keep living this crazy life we have been. And politically devastating.

If you are fully vaccinated and still afraid to go out you really should not drive a vehicle. Because the data proves it more dangerous than dying from Covid.

I don’t really care if people keep wearing masks. I expect about 5-10% of Americans will well after Covid is gone. Fine by me. Hell, I might in flu season.

But I won’t be one of them.

If the data changes so will my decisions. But the main reason I like DU is because it is normally a science based site. Current science does not justify mask mandates for vaccinated people.

The unvaccinated? They will keep dying and getting sick. A year ago that would have bothered me. Today I could give a fuck.
