I live in North Bay, and I don't think I've ever seen the hills go so brown so fast as early as they did this year. We had to hold our breath during the Vacaville fire last year and were all packed up and ready to go at a moment's notice.

We live in an area that is forever windy because of the geography. The past week has been particularly windy, and we were under an advisory. It was like, "Seriously, already?!"

Sigh. Going to be a long summer.
