"Oh, nobody really expected anything Jared did would make a dime's worth of difference." No, but all you media outlets breathlessly reported it when the former guy assigned Jared to fix some intractable problem or difficult task that he had no expertise or insight to address. None of you proclaimed any of it to be cynical grandstanding to divert attention from some other failure of the former guy's administration.
