Legislating abortion rights out of existence is nothing less than legislating a particular set of religious beliefs into law that is supposed to be secular. The Constitution says we have the right to be free from religion. The religious right thus does not have a Constitutional right to force their religious beliefs on the rest of us. I recognize that Roe was decided on the basis of a right to privacy to make a medical decision rather than religion, but it is religion driving its overturn.
