13. I watched that video, and I don't get it.

Was that video supposed to show us that the tweet in the OP is not satirical? If so, I must have blinked and missed something.

What I got from it was what I already knew---what we all already knew: that Republican senators want to sweep Jan. 6 under the rug and pretend it never happened. That doesn't mean that tweet can't be satire. I thought it was myself, and I still do. I was buying it till I got to the bit about Yelp and TripAdvisor. That part was just a little too over the top to be real, imo.

I'm not saying Rubio doesn't want the insurrection to go away, like most of his Republican colleagues. I'm just having a hard time believing that those exact words actually came out of his mouth.

Edited to add: After posting this, I got the bright idea of actually going and looking at the tweet thread. And yes, from what I saw, this is satire. It's a sign of the times that it's often hard to tell what's real and what isn't; but this isn't.
