Showing Original Post only (View all)Am I the only one who is shocked by Chris Cristies' public appearances? [View all]
Let's keep this thread civil. I am not critiquing Chris Christies' life-style or broad-brushing anyone.
But that last time I saw Chris Christie I was surprised he wasn't in a hospital. When he was first famous he was a guy who could stand to lose 100 pounds, but solid enough and not apparently disabled.
The last times I've seen him (at the Romney event where he yelled at people and on TV subsequently) he appeared to have gained a tremendous amount of weight and be gasping for air and sweating and turning red and having to pause in the middle of sentences to breathe.
The import of this being that whatever draft-Christie fantasies or Christie VP fantasies might exist on someone's mind on the right, they are not plausible.
Was that just me?

Gleason was a serial dieter. He'd get fat, get a trainer, slim down, and then repeat. NT

That guy was a bit older, in his seventies--don't think he was all that huge, either.
