She was CEO of Mylan through the EpiPen price gouging scandal so there is some known questionable behavior in Manchin's immediate family. She is no longer Mylan CEO but I don't know what she is doing now that he could be trying to assist.

Or maybe he and his grifting corporate daughter privately love the GQP tax cuts and deregulation so much he wouldn't do anything to jeopardize them and hurt their stocks.
