The human body isn't symmetrical back to front. If you put your pants on backwards you (or most people) would notice immediately that the fit was off. Decently tailored - or even decent off-the-rack- pants are cut so that there's more give in front so you can walk.

Pull-on stretch pants, OTOH, are more likely to give the look Donnie is sporting in the picture.
