Someone might say, "Hillary Clinton could have been a better candidate had she gone to Michigan and campaigned there." To which one would disagree saying, "I think that there was too much sexism and a 30 year sleaze campaign that had it in for Hillary no matter what".

When someone says or implies that the victims of crimes of hate bring those crimes upon themselves, that is not a mere disagreement, that is dangerous to the victims of those crimes.

Like saying to a woman who was raped, "Well, what were you wearing, and were you drinking?" Would that be a mere statement that you would disagree with?
