And I'm still pissed about that one because I believe it cost us some house and senate races.
As a democrat, I don't want to defund the police. I want to reform the police. Take away their tanks and rocket launchers. Make them wear body cameras AT ALL TIMES, NO EXCEPTIONS. And hold them accountable in the event that their weapons are discharged. While those things wouldn't solve all our problems, they would at least be a step in the right direction. "De-militarizing the police" would be much better messaging, IMO.
