23. Hold up - WHAT's the point of posting this?

Why is she posting? Because she is repeating information, or to denigrate DU and its members?

If it’s the first, why would anyone care? Once you put something out on a forum, it’s out there to be seen, screen-shotted, or whatever.

If it’s the latter, and she isn’t able to post any more on DU, again, why does anyone care? Same thing applies - you put it out there, and there’s no limitation on who can see it, so what expectation do you have that it WON’T be reposted, screen-shotted, or what have you? You mean, someone is doing to DU members what DU members do with freeper posts and idiots on Twitter? Quelle surprise! The only difference is that if she’s doing it to troll or denigrate, you report to the powers that be so she won’t have any chance of rejoining DU.

What’s the point of informing everyone about it? Drama? Suggesting that people not post because - oh noes! - someone might repost them? Anyone who’s been a DU member for any length of time should find it obvious that there are DU posts showing up for mocking or angry comments all over far-right sites, so under the very worst case scenario, how is this any different?

Sounds like a big yawn and business as usual.
