In reply to the discussion: Bill Maher being an asshole...again [View all]wnylib
(23,677 posts)65. That's why I remain cautious and
continue to wear a mask indoors (except at home). I usually don't wear one outdoors, unless in a crowd of people close together. I just returned from my community's farmer's market. It was the first of the season, with craft booths as well as farm goods. Jammed full of people eager to get back to normal. I put my mask on as I approached the crowd.
I am fully vaccinated, but I am cautious because of underlying health issues and because some people, like Maher do get infected in spite of being vaccinated. I know that the numbers are low, but when it does happen, it's in my demographic group - over 65 and female.
Nobody commented on the mask, even though mask wearers were definitely in the minority - about 5 of us.

I still wear a mask - I thought Maher was funny - I think we should all lighten up.

It's like when someone drinks or does drugs, others who don't are reminding them of their behavior.

Maher is the asshole. Why does it bother him if a vaccinated person wears a mask or not.

The latest studies confirm that the likelihood of catching it outside is very slim.

Great show last night. Neil deGrasse Tyson was outstanding in the first segment.
