(38,310 posts)99. I had a friend who loved Hogan's Heroes, circa 1966.
I remember asking my mom if we could watch the show and the look of utter horror and disgust on her face.
Working in Hollywood she'd been hit upon and rejected Bob Crane.
Unfortunately for Crane he escaped with his balls intact. He might have lived quite a bit longer life without them.
Crane frequently videotaped and photographed his own sexual escapades. During the run of Hogan's Heroes, Dawson introduced him to John Henry Carpenter, a regional sales manager for Sony Electronics who often helped famous clients with their video equipment. The two men struck up a friendship and began going to bars together. Crane attracted many women due to his celebrity status, and he introduced Carpenter to them as his manager. Crane and Carpenter would videotape their joint sexual encounters...
