5. Congrats!

I have a friend who has been a year on the job & wants out.
Not his style to bail. I knew him from work, and he was there 16 years until he changed to a slightly lower paying job to move to Florida, to care care of his widowed mom. (He was there 14 years when I retired, 3 years ago.). He was 9 years on his previous job.
That company described the job as something wildly different, and he finds that any corrective action requests are a paper exercise. Nobody ever works on making problems go away. But, they told him they wanted him because he had experience in that work.
He's looking for something else, even if the pay is further reduced. He's single & has a pretty healthy 401k at 49, so he can manage with a cut.
