48. Allow me to introduce myself. And to apologize.

I am also a lifelong opponent of the death penalty. I'm still wavering as to whether an actual case of treason, as defined by the Constitution, would be the only instance in which I would stand in favor of it. Based solely on news reporting, none of the insurrectionists committed treason (and neither did Trump, for that matter). No one should die at the hand of the state as a result of their actions on or before 1/6/2021. My suggestion otherwise was inflammatory and emanated from my disgust and intolerance of who they are, what they stand for, and the slow grind of a justice system that requires that all of us watch them as they misdirect and lie and in some cases profit from their treachery.

I'm impatient. I overreached. I am sorry.
