It’s an honor to have a Navy name a ship after you. I cannot name another member of Congress with one and with this renaming, only 3% of US Naval ships are named after black Americans. That Navy helped defeat fascism and our military did not support Trump’s power grab. I believe John Louis would be proud of our service members sticking to their constitutional oath. Without the military, Trump’s coup was a failure before it occurred. Why used the a Proud Boys when you have Marines Corp?

The voting rights act must pass.

John Lewis should have status and monuments in every state in our country as well.
