I appreciate the concept, surely...but I am also referring to a host of Gen X men who as boys, may have watched their mom's doing the 'heavy lifting' and watched Dad being a 'bachelor'...after all, that was a huge jump in Divorce rates as well baqck then... .ike somehow the shcakles of Married life were no longer required. If women were going to decide to "have it All" then men got to play and be frat boys as long as they wanted because the women obviously 'didn't NEED them'...so maybe these boys are a second generation of men who had it good, men who may have taken out the trash when their mom told them to...but really had no stake in the household. Add to that the advent of the video game and the Internet, and the phenomenon grew. Now we have 40+ yr old guys who are still single, because they figured women are either going to 'wait for their career first' or if they want kids they will 'start without them'...


but as I have said before, sometimes my "manhater hat" gets screwed on too tight and I am just an angry single mom who resents the fact that the men who pledged to stay weren't up for the task, and the other guys I meet now either think I am: 1) Easy 2) Looking for a meal-ticket or 3) Just plain Desperate or 4) a closet Lesbian
