I've never heard of such a thing. Walgreens, no insurance, no charge no nothing. Walk in at appt time get stuck, go home. My entire family, extended family vaccinated. No one has ever mentioned bills, charges etc. I'm in Illinois. I need to add, some family in Wisconsin, and I believe we all got vaccinated in different facilities, grocery stores, state run sites, pharmacies, etc

I don't know but what I think is they charge Medicare or VA or insurance a higher amount

I also attended a mass "drive-through" vaccination event. No insurance necessary.

Although the vaccines are free, the govt will bill insurance to defray the cost.
