The Debbie and Donnie Downers, (and all their kinfolk) plus the naysayers aren't even trying to be subtle anymore.

One can set their watch by the punctual appearance of the negative comments they espouse with inevitable regularity. Not unlike the workings of a colonoscopy prep but not as pleasant, though more predictable.

It's not unusual to find them showing up halfway through a thread with their contrairian commentary. It's like they see it as a calling. Like they're ordained by ethereal gods, claiming sacred words and visions have been spoken to them in the woods as a commandment to exist in eternal agitation.
