As far as reddit, the rules of the top subreddits were unfortunate. You can't post this in /r/ movies because it's political. You can't post it in /r/politics because it's humorous. You can't post it in /r/funny because it's political. (And now you're off the front page, and the big auto-subscriptions).
It was posted in /r/politicalhumor, made their front page, and got hammered by down votes.
People that either disagreed, didn't watch it to realize it wasn't pro-Mitt, or just plain didn't like it - fair enough. And there were a lot of them.
