Yes to this. I had to pay $50 for canceling a dental appointment less tan 24 hours ahead. I called the morning of the appointment just to double check about vaccination status to set my mind at ease. The HIPPA thing was used on me, and I knew that wasn't a correct interpretation of HIPPA. It's used for too many things that it wasn't intended for.

I had delayed my regular checkup in 2020 because of Covid, and then ended up needing lots of work when I finally did go. We're stuck.
