I cannot fathom paying that much for coffee. To be fair, I'm not much for eating out either. Seems like the same money spent at the grocery will feed me about 10 other people.

I always leave a tip too, but their drinks are so pricey that my husband and I only get Starbucks

Starbucks doesn't pay that well. My future daughter in law works there...they suck on all levels.

I order black/plain coffee too. But I do tip at most places with a tip cup. Don't go often.

It doesn't encourage employers at all. Whether you tip or not, they won't pay a decent wage.

All the specialty coffees ☕ are made individually so that's why they get a tip. nt

I tip generously at sit down restaurants. But never have at counter service places.
