to Donald Trump. NY at least gave its electoral votes to Biden.

"Says the state that ..."
?? Say what?? My post makes me the spokesperson for an entire state?

No need go back into the 1970s to dredge up James Buckley. (But at least he was a genuine conservative, although I never would have voted for him.) NY has worse current members of Congress, like Elise Stefanik.

But, speaking of past NY politicians, there were FDR, Robert Kennedy, and Hillary Clinton.

Of course, Texas can claim Ann Richards and LBJ from the past. Also, although not a politician, there was one of my all time favorite columnists, Molly Ivins.

But currently, NY has replaced Cuomo with Kathy Hochul. Also currently, NY has Chuck Schumer, AOC, Hakeem Jeffries, and Jerrold Nadler.

I can understand defending your own state and the good people who do live there. I've got some good friends from Texas and nearly went there myself as a volunteer to help with asylum seekers at an El Paso mission. The pandemic put my plans on hold.

But Texas has, after all, been known to go AWOL before. Isn't there a faction of Texans who have recently said they should do it again?
