You have to take the bad with the good. Most of what is called news is schlock. It's just churned out like fast food, using cheap-as-possible processes and supply lines. That forces opinion into the news since it is so cheap and so readily available. And, as in the case with most "news" reporting on the Afghanistan withdrawal, opinion is mostly mediocre and cursed by groupthink.
