6. Tough battles all over

Getting rid of 45 was an epic accomplishment but we're so far from done.

Endless uphill battles. Abortion, women's rights, voting rights, systemic racism, police brutality. I think for now the most important of these is voting rights. Without that none of the rest of it will ever be resolved.

In 30 years white people will be a minority in this country and I believe that in part the conspiracy theories, misinformation and rage coming from the right has to do with desperation because they know this is coming. Desperate not to be treated the way they have treated minorities and women for years. Since they've been assholes they assume that when minorities and women take power they will also be assholes. So they think the only way to hang onto power is take it by force or any other any means necessary and to rule from the minority.

We have to have the mindset of an MLK or a JFK to win all these battles. I'm optimistic but I hate the thought of endless fighting. I think it has to be a way of life for us and I think Democrats have to get a little tougher, fast. Tough but fair.
