17. What if a person tries to sue you with absolutely no grounds?

They just make it up. Can you just ignore them? Don't they have to provide some kind of evidence that they have a case before they can force you to hire an attorney to defend yourself from a bogus charge?

This is just all kinds of fucked up in so many ways I don't even know where to start.
