82. I'm not even a huge fan

He's a bit smarmy for me. I just enjoy the show sometimes. Don't even watch every week.

But the ceaseless, weekly "I don't watch!" group chant cracks me up. It's just an attempt at conformity. "Person doesn't believe what I do or has people on I don't like! Burnnnnn himmmmm." Then the communal reassurance that said hatred is socially acceptable within the sphere.

Love this stuff. It's an absolute blast for me. Seriously considering doing my master's thesis on it. The psychological causes and effects of social media bubbles on political conformity and potential increase in radicalization. So, I'm having the best of times. It's half research, half amusement at this point.

Note that in a sea of mutual social assurance, it's the one little hook that merits the strongest response.

I find this shit fascinating.
