I know a lovely retired lady who spends her winters in Florida. A lot of Northerners do. Last year I tried to talk her out of going and she said she'll be going back this year. This summer I started seeing lots of out-of-state license plates again, and the majority are from Florida.

And I'm the same, I still wear my mask, though I've been vaccinated since March. In the beginning, an employee on a local store saw my vaccinated sticker on my jacket and said I no longer had to wear my mask - but I still do, though it's usually just me and a few employees, though I have seen a few more just lately. I only go places that I have to and don't spend time there. I do all my errands on one day.

I used to go to a meditation group once a week, a really lovely group of ladies, mostly older than me and politically active. But we haven't met since February of last year since we meet in the artist's studio of one of the group and it's not very spacious. I have wondered if we'll ever meet again. So many things have shut down here.

And I am so sorry about your surgery, that really sucks. I hope that you're feeling okay.
