In reply to the discussion: Had my first ever reaction to flu vaccine [View all]Picaro
(2,400 posts)I have never had any reaction at all to the regular flu shot. So, it was a real surprise when I woke up the night of the day that I got the shot in my arm was killing me. And, I had a fever of 102. The next day my fever went down but I still felt pretty whooped.
then, that night I woke up and could barely walk to the bathroom because I was shaking so hard. I took my temperature and it was 103.1.
then, the next day it all went away. Arm stopped hurting and I felt fine.
it is making me a little bit reluctant to get the shot again. But, having almost died from the flu when I was 17 I think Ill probably get the shot. Already got my Covid booster shot and I feel pretty bad right now but the fever is nowhere close to the super flu shot. I got 99.5. So, I can function.
