... I was on a boomer. It was like living your parent's basement: linoleum deck, paneled bulkhead, acoustic tile overheads, fluorescent lighting, for two months at a stretch. Just like home, but with a reactor and 16/24 MIRV "packages", 16 on the Lafayette class and 24 on the Ohio class that replaced the LaFayette.

The missile room was almost as big as a basketball court and a 20' overhead.

Not a WWII pig boat at all.
