depending on what you did on the boats, you should be thankful, that you did not have to launch. I was SWS on boomers and you did not want us launching. I have a number of SF/SEAL friends and not a single one wanted to be responsible for annihilating millions of people.
You service was/is far more risky then getting it by an IED. They always have the chance to get to safety, where were you going if there was a fire on board, flooding in engineering and loss of depth control all at the same time?
