79. Facebook is fun! I enjoy it very much!

The folks who believe that I'm brainwashed, or that I get my "news" and "conspiracy theories" from Facebook are actually as stupid as they falsely believe me to be.

I also believe that this seemingly irrational "hatred" of Facebook is insincere. I think it's all for show. It's a way for people to say "look at me" and "admire me for all the HATE that I have for Facebook" and "I'm purer and smarter than you because I don't use that tool of the Devil".

The phrase "I don't use Facebook" is the 2021 version of the 1999 expression "we don't have a TV in our house". (It's pretty much the same as scolding someone by telling them "I'm smarter than YOU" ... only, a little more judge-y but still being somewhat subtle.)

FACEBOOK FOREVER!

APPLE II FOREVER!

COMMODORE 64 FOREVER!

MYSPACE FOREVER!!

(Something else will come along to replace FB... I'll probably be dead by then, but I just can't get as worked-up with all the FB-hatred as some around here need to do.)
