163. I don't understand why so many people hold this hate for Facebook

I've been on there for over 10 years. I use it mostly to catch up with family and see what all of my artist friends have created. I weeded out all of the meme-reposters a long time ago. I used to be a professional musician, and my friends list is filled with creative people: poets, photographers, painters, sculptors and other music people.
I would never be able to attend that many readings, gallery openings or live shows. Especially during the pandemic.
I rarely see political posts or ads, just a stream of brilliant creativity from my incredible friends.
It is what you make it.
For my mother, who is in poor health and in her 80s, it provides an opportunity to connect with family that she can no longer travel to visit, and who can only rarely make the trip to see her.
