5. That is to be seen.

First, it is hard to pass gun control when your votes don’t count to get officials elected to pass it.

Second, the minute we said it is ok for blue states to ignore federal drug laws by legalizing marijuana at the state level, we gave them an opening to do the same with guns we ban. You can’t scream “but federal law trumps state law”, when you do it to.

They will also model things off of our ideas on sanctuaries and their local law not enforcing any bans.

Then of course is the lie that these guns only belong on the battlefield, yet allow the same police you protest for killing you to be excluded from a ban. If you say these guns are only for war, then you let the cops keep them, you either lied or think war is in their job description.

Either way, passed gun laws or not, the right isn’t giving up their semi-autos and will continue to buy them in their states and their local red neck sheriffs won’t enforce the law any more than we enforce federal immigration in sanctuaries.

Not that any of this matters. We may not be the same country by 2024.
