Although, considering that a lot of this seems to spring from old Masonic Rites, maybe they will have a collective Freak-out, and decide they would rather stay home on election day, than try to get their little minds around the idea that ALL religions beleive some wierd and illogical shit.

What strikes me as funny though, is the idea that there is still a "Veil" at all. In Christian mythology, at the moment of Christ's death, there was an earthquake, and as a result, the "veil" seperating the Holy of Holies from the rest fo the Temple was ripped apart, and there was no longer a barrier between God and Man, all was open and accessible.
My personal expierence of this idea was the first time I was in the Sacristacy of a Catholic Church....there isn't anything special back there. No great secret, nothing that needs to be sought out, nothing special or distinct. THAT'S the secret. And when YOU figure that out, too, THEN you and I can truly Commune with each other on a deep spiritual level, in a way that we can't do with those who still think there IS something between God and Man.
There's nothing back there. Since the time of the dissappearance of the Ark of the Covenant, there HASEN'T been anything back there. And in that nothing, lie the keys to REALLY understanding all of the "something's" that are happening inside our Spiritual Selves. Christ knew this. So did The Buddah. So do a good number of modern Atheists.
