About 20 years ago, we went to a jam night where a guy was obliterated.
The woman was giving him "drinks" for free, but they were virgin marys. She did it just to keep him from blowing his stack.
Some moron told him she wasn't putting vodka in them and he erupted. Throwing stuff, screaming, knocking over chairs...
She calls cops, so he bolts.
Place is near the interstate so he takes off and gets in the southbound lane going north. Unfortunately, there's a big lift in the road where a dozen railroad tracks go under the highway.
A van going the right way gets to top of hill, and this drunken maniac is right there.
Massive head-on crash, and both people in the van got killed.
Since the whole jam night went south after that incident, we were leaving when we heard sirens from every direction. We found out the next morning what happened.
If that jerk had just let him drink his virgin marys he probably would have passed out. They put him in his car, call the cops & give them the guy's keys. Nobody dies.
