So, Brian Laundrie drove the car to the reserve to hike. They found the car, but left it there the first day in case he came back. Then the second day they went and got it. Why would they do that unless they knew he wasn't going back to the car?

I fully expect the Laundries to get away with covering things up and aiding their son. I've become pretty cynical about the justice system.
